Frequently Asked Questions
Practical answers for clients evaluating PCB, firmware, IoT, marine, automotive, automation and app development work with PAK-EL LAB.
Working with us
How can I contact PAK-EL LAB?
Use the contact form, email tahir@pakellab.com, or message us on WhatsApp. We typically respond within 24 hours.
Do you work with international clients?
Yes. We work remotely with clients across different countries and time zones, communicating primarily by email and WhatsApp.
Can you work under an NDA, and how do you handle confidential projects?
Yes. We can sign a mutual NDA before reviewing sensitive project details. Client designs, files and project details are treated as confidential and are not shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for more.
How do you estimate project cost and delivery time?
Cost and delivery time depend on project scope, complexity and component availability. Share your requirements through the contact form or WhatsApp and we'll respond with a scoped estimate.
Can you handle urgent engineering issues?
We can often accommodate urgent requests depending on current workload and complexity — contact us early so we can confirm feasibility and timeline.
How do I pay my deposit once we've agreed a quote?
Once we've agreed your project scope and price, submit an order request and we'll email you a secure nsave invoice/payment link for the agreed amount — no payment or card/bank details are collected on our website. Because nsave is currently a personal account, the verified recipient name it displays may be the individual project engineer's legal name. Your project formally starts once payment is confirmed.
Design, files & manufacturing
Do you provide custom PCB design services?
Yes. We provide schematic capture, PCB layout, multilayer and high-current PCB design, component selection, DFM review and Gerber/BOM file preparation. See our PCB Design service.
What PCB design software do you use?
We work with industry-standard PCB tools, primarily KiCad, EasyEDA and Altium Designer, chosen per project based on complexity and your preferred file format.
Do you provide EasyEDA, KiCad or Altium source files?
In most cases, yes — we can typically deliver source files in common formats such as KiCad, EasyEDA or Altium. Confirm your preferred format when starting a project.
Can you review and debug an existing PCB or schematic?
Yes. We review existing schematics and PCB layouts, identify issues and provide corrected files or a written list of recommended changes.
Can you source components and prepare JLCPCB manufacturing files?
Yes. Component selection and availability verification is part of our standard process, and we can prepare BOM and assembly files formatted for LCSC sourcing and JLCPCB assembly workflows.
Do you support PCB manufacturing and assembly?
Yes. We prepare manufacturing files, optimise the BOM and support communication with your chosen manufacturer or assembly house.
Embedded systems & protocols
Do you develop ESP32 and IoT firmware?
Yes. We develop ESP32, ESP32-S3, BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa, UWB and IoT firmware in C/C++. See our Firmware Development service.
Which microcontrollers do you support, including STM32?
We primarily work with ESP32, ESP32-S3, STM32 and Arduino-compatible microcontrollers, and can evaluate other MCU families depending on project requirements.
Which communication protocols do you support?
We implement SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa, USB and Ethernet interfaces, depending on the project's hardware.
Do you support marine electronics projects?
Yes. We support ship power monitoring, bearing monitoring, weight monitoring, wave-height nodes and rugged marine electronics.
Do you design 4-20mA industrial systems?
Yes. We design 4–20mA signal generator, reader, calibration and industrial monitoring interfaces.
Mobile apps & how we deliver
Can you build Android and iOS apps for hardware?
Yes. We build Flutter-based Android and iOS apps for IoT devices, BLE control, Firebase dashboards and device monitoring.
Can you integrate a mobile app with existing hardware?
Yes. If you already have working hardware, we can build a Flutter app around its existing BLE or Wi-Fi interface rather than requiring a redesign.
Do you work remotely, and how are project files delivered?
Yes, all work is done remotely. Deliverables such as schematics, PCB files, firmware source and documentation are sent electronically as each project stage is completed.
